Effective date: August 22, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Product Startup (“Product Startup,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies on productstartup.com and related online services (collectively, the “Site”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What These Technologies Are
Cookies are small data files placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies can store or read identifiers, measure interactions, remember preferences, help secure a site, or support advertising and analytics. Some are set by us and others are set by third parties whose services appear on the Site.
2. How We Use Them
Strictly necessary and security
These technologies help the Site function, protect forms and accounts, balance traffic, remember privacy choices, and prevent abuse. They generally cannot be switched off through a consent tool because they are needed to provide a service requested by the visitor.
Preferences and functionality
These technologies remember choices and provide enhanced features, such as media settings or display preferences.
Analytics and performance
When enabled, analytics technologies help us understand visits, traffic sources, page performance, and how people use the Site. We use this information to improve content, navigation, and services. We will identify material analytics providers in our consent tool or an updated version of this Policy.
Advertising, attribution, and affiliate measurement
When enabled, advertising pixels and similar tools may measure campaigns, limit or personalize ads, build audiences, and attribute visits or purchases. Affiliate links may include identifiers that allow a merchant or network to recognize a referral and calculate a commission. Depending on applicable U.S. state law, some advertising activity may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising even when no money is paid for personal information.
External media
Podcast players and other embedded content may be provided by third parties such as Spotify or Captivate. Loading or interacting with that content may allow the provider to receive device, browser, IP-address, and usage information under its own privacy terms. Where required, we will ask for consent before non-essential external media loads.
3. Technologies Currently or Potentially Used
The Site uses WordPress and hosting infrastructure that may set necessary security, administration, and functionality cookies. The Site also includes or may include podcast players and links supplied by third-party platforms. We may add analytics, advertising, email-marketing, conversion-measurement, or social-media tools as the Site develops. We will update our notices and consent controls when material tools change.
Cookie names, providers, purposes, and retention periods can change when third parties update their services. The consent interface, when displayed, provides the most current on-site choices.
4. Your Choices
Where required by law, we will not use non-essential cookies or similar technologies until you provide the relevant consent. You can accept, reject, or adjust categories through the Site’s privacy or cookie controls when available, and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working. Privacy settings in a browser, device, or third-party platform may provide additional controls.
Where applicable, we will treat a recognized opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser or device that sends the signal.
5. Retention
Some cookies last only for a browsing session; others remain for a stated period or until deleted. Retention depends on purpose, configuration, and provider. We seek to avoid keeping identifiers longer than reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
6. Third-Party Services
Third parties control their own technologies and may combine information from the Site with information collected elsewhere, subject to their policies and your settings. Product Startup does not control those third-party practices.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the Site, technology, law, or our practices. The effective date above will be revised when we make a material update. Where required, we will request consent again.
8. Contact Us
Questions or privacy requests may be sent to privacy@productstartup.com or mailed to Product Startup, 103 Carmichael Cres., King City, Ontario L7B 0N2, Canada.
